On Nov. 29, 1942 the US government begins rationing coffee due to WWII. In the US during the war gas, sugar, milk, & butter were also rationed. By the end of the war about 1/3 of all food products were being rationed.

The Dodge brothers began their career building bicycles & learned about cars from Ford & Olds. Dodge was bought by Chrysler in 1928.

Thursday, November 9th, 2006On Nov. 9, 1989 East Berlin opens up the Berlin Wall and allows travel across for the first time since the wall was built in 1962. The next day the people of Berlin begin to tear down the wall.

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006On Nov. 8, 1895 German scientist Wilhelm Rontgen discovers X-rays by accident when testing if cathode rays could pass through glass. Doctors began to use X-rays but were slow to realize the harmful effects of X-rays.
